Purple Grass

Prologue

Do you know how lost a little lamb can be, when a little sheep gets lost? And how black – black – how very black is the night for that little lamb when that little lamb becomes lost? Does anyone know that lamb is out there? Does anyone even care? When the world stands against you, and you question who you are, you are lost like that little lamb, lost in the darkness. And yet you know; deep, deep, down inside, you know who you are. Sometimes the fighting goes on forever against a world that gives you wrong messages. Sometimes the struggle isn’t worth fighting the same battle, over and over again.

As a young lamb, you were taught about the most loving of all the creations in the Universe: The Creator’s gift to the world. His son, the Good Shepherd. You are also taught that the Good Shepherd loves all the lambs in his flock.

But what of the lamb who is different? What of the lamb who becomes lost because he is different?

What of the lamb who becomes lost because he is different, because he is told the Good Shepherd does not like this little lamb?

But what of the lamb who becomes lost because he is different, because he is told the Good Shepherd does not like this little lamb? – – – Because this little lamb likes Purple Grass!

This story is about that little lamb.

This is the story of Purple Grass.
